Wasatch Wings Hockey

We Are The WINGS Hockey

The Wasatach Wings is a team of women who gather weekly to practice, learn how to play hockey, and just have some fun. We also have games twice a month and generally attend tournaments once a month. We are always looking for new players to help the team and league grow. If you are at least 18 (or will be 18 by 31 December) and love to have fun, we need you! (If you are a bit younger, contact us for consideration.) If you do not know how to skate, don't worry. Neither did we! We will teach you how to get your ice legs. We encourage new players to come out and join the fun! We are a USA Hockey Sanctioned team.

About Us

boxUtah women's hockey began when several hockey moms decided to start playing instead of watching. Around 1991, Terri and Lynn Lyman (who now live in London, England) organized the team of about eight women. Known as the "Team from Ogden", the women practiced at the old Golden Spike Arena and Bountiful rink. They didn't have matching jerseys or anything, but were having fun learning the game their children had been playing. Read More

Practices are held every Tuesday at 6:15 pm at the Ice Sheet.
